After graduating from St Mos , I attended and graduated from SMCC. Over the next 10 years I worked in production scheduling for McDonell Douglas Corp, as a scheduling dept supervisor for Hardman Aerospace, as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines, and as an assistant to Motorsports Legend, Carroll Shelby.
In 1975 I married Richard Johnson, an airline (PSA/USAIR) Captain and became a full time wife and mother. I have two adult daughters, Natalie and Lynnette, who both work in LA in public relations/ entertainment industry.
I now live in the mountains of East San Diego County and work as a forest service volunteer. I have served on the Board of Directors of the local Volunteer Assoc on Mount Laguna/Cleveland National Forest and accumulated over 2000 volunteer hrs. I man the visitor center, do forest patrols, lead interpretive hikes, and teach nature programs. I recently retired after 12 yrs as an office manager/bookkeeper for a small stock brokerage in downtown San Diego. My husband and I now own our own business, providing Corporate Pilot services for private industry. I also served for 6 yrs on the local planning commission for my community, addressing zoning and ordinance issues . Presently, I enjoy contributing articles on nature, local history and travel as a freelance writer for local publications. |
